The Sandbar Seafood & Steak Restaurant re-opened
in April, 2009! Join us nightly for seafood and sunsets on the banks of the Folly River. Large windows offer
panoramic views of the Folly River and marsh. Enjoy your favorite beer and wine with your meal.
The Sandbar welcomes small & large groups. Our main dining room seats 90,
while our private room seats 50 people. We are happy to arrange a dinner for your group celebrating a birthday,
reunion, anniversary, club meeting, church group, holiday party, etc. We can help you preset a menu for a large
group. Please call for more info and dates available. Tour guide and director receive dinner with our compliments.

In 1958,
Mr. and Mrs. Michael P. McCarthy cooked the first seafood platter at
the request of a friend, marking the beginning of The Sandbar Restaurant on Folly Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Darus D. Weathers purchased
the property in 1969, continuing the tradition of serving fresh, local seafood on the banks of the Folly River. Folks will
remember the seafood buffet and unlimited pans of roasted oysters.
After being closed for two years for extensive remodeling, the Weathers family invites
you back for dinner and sunsets.
